Lily's Friends

Since her leukemia journey began in December of 2008, Lily and her family have met many other children who are fighting cancer. They have met some of these children in person, and others they know online. A bond develops among "cancer families" as they fight this common enemy. While there are many similar experiences in the fight against cancer, each child's story is unique.

Grayson

Burkitt's Leukemia - diagnosed July 2008.

Grayson was in the room next to Lily when she was first diagnosed. Their moms became good friends, and now the kids keep up with each other.

Katherine

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia - diagnosed September 2006

Katherine fought her battle with ALL with the motto "We're going to win!" She completed her 2+ years of treatment just a couple weeks after Lily was diagnosed. Since then she has been a mentor to Lily - visiting and encouraging her. Her motto now is "Never quit!"

Andy

Neuroblastoma - diagnosed January 2008.

After spending over 200 nights in the hospital and going through six rounds of adult chemo, Andy is now NED (No Evidence of Disease). He has an older brother, Ray, that he adores.
